Located at the historical and archeological site of the three Château-Richer convents, this interpretation centre, which opened in 1984, hosts a permanent exhibition on the history of one of the first French settlements in North America. Other attractions include the excavated foundations of the first two convents (built in 1694 and 1830) that can be seen inside the third convent (1907), a recreated classroom from yesteryear (1912), temporary exhibitions and a number of cultural and educational activities about this delightful site.
