Get Your Blood Pumping

Nothing you can't handle? Only 30 minutes from town, you can test your mettle in magnificent natural surroundings. In summer, tackle the Jacques-Cartier River, renowned for its whitewater rafting.

Looking for more? All year round, at Mont-Sainte-Anne, experience the excitement of canyoning as you descend magnificent waterfalls at the end of a rope. At the summit, another sensation awaits you as you take off into the skies in a paraglider, high above the Beaupré shoreline. Live it up!

In winter, if you're up for it, try ice climbing on the frozen cliffs of Parc de la Chute-Montmorency (waterfall).

What's Life without Biking

Known for your sculpted calves and daredevil attitude? Head off to Mont-Sainte-Anne —a veritable mountain biking Mecca—with its hundreds of kilometres of cross-country and downhill trails. Check out Vallée Bras-du-Nord, a single-track paradise of fast and narrow trails to conquer! And just minutes from downtown Québec City, explore Les Sentiers du Moulin, with its winding and technical trails that will delight the most experienced riders.

If you're more into recreational cycling, we haven't forgotten you. Right downtown, take the newly created Promenade Samuel-De Champlain along the St. Lawrence River, or the 22-kilometer long Corridor des Cheminots to Val-Bélair. Hundreds of kilometres of additional bike paths crisscross lovely landscapes throughout the region. Tank up on fresh air!
