Day 1: Explore Old Québec under an Open Sky

Morning and Afternoon
Take a ride on a Double Decker to familiarize yourself with Old Québec. Hop on and off at will and enjoy the incredible view from the top deck.

It’s the perfect place to take pictures of some of the city’s most famous landmarks, like the Château Frontenac and Dufferin Terrace, the fortifications and city gates, the Citadel, the Parliament building, Tourny Fountain and the Plains of Abraham.

Admire Québec City from Observatoire de la Capitale's expansive windows, the highest viewpoint in town.

Evening
Stroll through the Upper Town and catch some of the lively street performers. Pull up a chair at one of the many restaurants and wind your way through the cobblestone streets to enjoy the city’s European charm and the unique vibe on summer evenings.

Day 2: Stroll through the Oldest Streets in Canada

Morning
Head to Rue du Petit-Champlain -one of the prettiest streets in Canada- to do a little shopping and discover our talented local artisans. This district is also home to Place Royale, the gorgeous square where Québec was founded in 1608. Keep an eye out for the many architectural details that point to Québec City’s French and British past.

Afternoon
Hop on board the MV Louis Jolliet for an AML sightseeing cruise. The view of Québec City from the St. Lawrence River is simply stunning.

Evening
There are shows and events all year in different parts of the city. Check the events calendar to see what’s shaking while you’re in town.

Day 3: Discover the Must-See Local Sights

Morning and Afternoon
Take the Parc de la Chute-Montmorency cable car to the clifftops and admire the majestic Montmorency Falls. Cross the nearby bridge to Île d’Orléans for another exceptional view of Québec City and take a moment to tour this historic island known for its idyllic landscapes.

Next, head out to Canyon Sainte-Anne and try the longest two‑seater zipline in Canada—the only one in the country that goes flying through the trees.

As you’re driving back to Québec City, stop at the Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Shrine, one of the oldest Roman Catholic pilgrimage sites in North America.

Evening
Hungry? Traditional Québec cuisine is hearty, filling, and proudly featured at a number of local restaurants. Enjoy a fine pint at one of the local microbreweries or stop into a bar chansonnier for the full folk experience.

Those 72 hours go by fast! If you stay for 5 days, you’ll get the chance to dig deeper into Québec City.
