Located in the heart of Old Québec, Le Monastère des Augustines occupies the historic wings of the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec monastery (1639), which was the birthplace of the first hospital on the continent, north of Mexico. Sensitively restored, Le Monastère offers a unique wellness experience and many imaginative ways to connect with the Augustinian Sisters' remarkable heritage – all within a secular environment. The transformation of the former cloister into experiential accommodation offers a peaceful oasis that nourishes the inner life.

Schedule and Details

Hours: Le Monastère is open year-round. The front desk is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., and a night clerk is on duty after 11 p.m. Accomodations: open year-round.Check-in: 4 p.m. Check-out: noon. Museum: The opening hours of the museum vary depending on the seasons. Regular hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Summer hours: (June 21 to September 5, 2016): daily, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Closed: The musuem is closed on Mondays (except summer hours), December 25 and January 1.
