APEL is a non-profit organization whose mission is to protect and improve the rich ecological heritage of the St. Charles River watershed. This is done by raising public awareness on the conservation of natural habitats; restoring aquatic and riparian environments; and carrying out projects to acquire scientific knowledge on the conditions of these environments. The "Marais du Nord" park, managed by APEL, puts into practice the organization's values.
