Kayaking down the Gouffre River, a pristine salmon river, is a great family activity. Routes from 12 to 25 km (7.5 to 15.5 miles) long. The river alternates between whitewater and calm water. Ages three and up. This activity is self-guided. A shuttle takes you to the departure point on the river. You can go sea kayaking on the St. Lawrence River. An expert in guided excursions, Katabatik restricts its outings to the upper estuary. The geomorphologically impressive Charlevoix coast is teeming with marine mammals. A wonderful place to go kayaking, even in the winter.
