Québec, November 5th, 2015 - Québec City Tourism is proud to present a new interactive section on its website showcasing Old Québec. This immersive section makes visitors feel as if they were actually walking the streets of the old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985.

Old Québec is 70% of the reason why tourists visit the region, and Québec City Tourism wanted to create an authentic online experience for them. The objective is to bring Old Québec to life with HD photos and panoramic videos of six different areas so visitors feel like they are visiting in the flesh.

“After receiving top marks in an Imarkscore comparative study last year where our website outranked those of other major Canadian tourist destinations, we wanted to stay ahead of the pack by creating a top-notch immersive experience showcasing one of the most charming historic districts in North America,” said André Roy, director of Québec City Tourism.

This new tool was produced in collaboration with the Sigmund agency and Nova Film, whose expertise and skills helped bring this unique experience to life by creating a stunning virtual tour for website visitors to enjoy. The new section explores the many facets of Québec City, which has been recognized time and again for its charm and romantic appeal, as well as its safety and walkability.
