Summer is turning to fall, which means it’s time for spectacular scenery in the greater Québec City area. Here are 3 great ways to enjoy the fall colours.

Get your vitamins before winter hits! In the fall, Québec’s roadside stands are overflowing with fruits and veggies. You’ll find plenty of stands in Neuville, a picturesque village just west of Québec City. Head out along the mythic Chemin du Roy on a crisp fall day and fill up on yellow beets, butternut squash, carrots, and tomatoes all as brightly coloured as the leaves in the trees.

- Enjoy a craft beer at Esprit de Clocher, a microbrewery with a view of the river from the patio and a specialty corn dog on the menu (called “Pogo du terroir” in French).
- Domaine des 3 Moulins produces excellent white, red, rosé, and fortified wines. The vineyard is on a superb historic site where you’ll also catch pretty glimpses of the St. Lawrence.
2 Geocaching
Jacques-Cartier Area

Grab a GPS and head out in search of 18 geocaches hidden along the marsh trails at Marais du Nord. The new geocaching route is divided into two parts—the first sticks to easy terrain, while the second is meant for experienced hikers. You can use your own GPS for this technological treasure hunt, or rent one onsite.
