MUST SEE

Sainte-Anne-De-Beaupré Basilica

By 1658, this village already had a chapel dedicated to Saint Anne, who, according to popular belief, was responsible for saving many of those whose ships had foundered off Cape Tourmente. This religious fervour for the mother of the Virgin Mary has remained undiminished to this day. Every year, more than 1.5 million people make a pilgrimage to pray at the basilica at Côte-de-Beaupré. The pilgrims often travel along the historical avenue Royale.
